​August at Vision Montessori of Herndon will be a month of joyful learning, creativity, and discovery as our students will explore exciting themes and hands-on experiences across all classrooms. As summer will come to a close, our teachers will guide children through activities that will nurture independence, curiosity, and confidence — hallmarks of the Montessori approach.

​Classroom Highlights

• Toddlers: Toddlers will enjoy a month full of imagination and movement! They will step into the magic of the Circus, will soar with colorful Kites, will explore the wonder of Bubbles, and will finish the month surrounded by cheerful Sunflowers. Through these playful experiences, toddlers will strengthen their language, math, and sensory skills while learning about the world around them.

• Primary: Primary students will dive into lessons about the Five Senses, Feelings and Emotions, the vibrant Colors of the Rainbow, and Friendship. Each theme will encourage kindness, teamwork, and self-expression through art, stories, and group activities. By the end of the month, students will celebrate friendship and the joy of learning together.

• Pre-K / Kindergarten: Pre-K/Kindergarteners will continue building strong academic foundations while exploring nature-inspired weekly themes. Language lessons will focus on phonetic sounds, blending, comprehension, and writing. Math will include addition, subtraction, and word problems at each child’s pace. Geography and science will come alive through interactive lessons and experiments.
